Meghan Markle’s key theme of Netflix show mocked due to major family decision

Meghan Markle has faced backlash for emphasizing family values in her Netflix show, despite having no relationship with her own relatives, including her father. The Duchess is understood to have cut communication with Thomas Markle in 2018, the year she wed Prince Harry at Windsor.

The episode, streaming on Netflix today, features Meghan getting ready for the holiday season. The installment reportedly shows the Duchess of Sussex, along with companions, embracing cherished customs and establishing fresh ones.

Ahead of today’s debut of the Christmas installment of With Love, commentator Sarah Vine appeared to call out Meghan for advocating family significance following her own treatment of her father, who is also Prince Harry and Meghan’s son, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet’s grandfather.

“Given that this is a woman who refuses to see her own father and won’t let her children see their grandfather, it is a little bit hard to swallow.”, reports the Express.

Beyond Meghan’s father, Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, are believed to have last visited their paternal grandfather, King Charles, back in 2022.

Discussing his grandchildren, Thomas previously expressed being “very sad” about the notion that Archie and Lilibet are being “denied” a Royal upbringing. Speaking on The Circuit podcast with host Emily Chang earlier this year, Meghan also revealed her desire for “family support” for her children amid the continuing tensions.

Emily questioned: “Is there anything you want for your kids that’s different from what you and Harry have had? Especially when it comes to family?”

Responding without hesitation, Meghan answered: “Oh yeah. I want them to have the fullness of life and family and support.”

Meghan has also been mocked for some of her cooking methods on the Netflix show. The Duchess of Sussex was caught using a microwave to melt chocolate for her seasonal treat, blending chocolate chips, butter, peanut butter, and cereal.

However, renowned chef Jameson Stocks, who has prepared meals for King Charles and recently received recognition from The King’s Trust, was left absolutely flabbergasted by her approach, and not in a good way. In an exclusive chat with the Daily Express, Stocks pulled no punches.

Asked about his instant reaction to Meghan’s microwave move, he declared, “Meghan Markle should be nowhere near a kitchen.”

He went on, “It’s certainly not a cardinal sin, just unconventional. Much like many of her cooking habits – whether it’s leaning over the stove to stir pots on the back burners or the recent turkey blunder she posted on social media, there’s a constant flow of questionable methods.

“It seems those around her are aware of the correct methods, but she deliberately chooses to do things differently. In my opinion, she shouldn’t have a platform to showcase this.”
