MANILA — It isn’t only music fans who are excited for the Wolfgang Reunion Tour. The three remaining original members – vocalist Basti Artadi, drummer Wolf Gemora, and guitarist Manuel Legarda – are equally looking forward to hitting the road.

Following Wolfgang’s wildly received and acclaimed performance at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao where 3,000 fans packed the venue, three new shows have been announced for Baguio (March 21 at the University of Baguio), Davao (March 26 at the SMX), and Cebu (April 19 at the Waterfront Hotel).

“I love going on tour,” declared Gemora. “It is through the Wolfgang tours that I discovered the rest of the Philippines. It is always great to hit the stage in front of fans from different regions. We had a saying back in the day, ‘the more south of the nation’s capital we go, the wilder the show gets.’”

“I’m super excited to get on with the nationwide tour going,” added Legarda. “We had a blast playing the February 7 show and from what I heard, the fans had a great time. With the additional shows, I feel we will be tighter and more in tune as we get on the stage. It will only get better as we go on.”

Chimed in Artadi, “The reunion show was everything hoped it would be. We fulfilled our number one goal that was to take fans back to their carefree days. Now, we’re excited to give the same experience to our fans in Baguio, Davao, and Cebu.”

The last time all three including their late bassist Mon Legaspi found themselves in these places in the country was back in 1998 while in support of their third album, “Wurm.”

Taking on bass guitar duties is Marco Cuneta who also performed on the “Wolfgang 30” album as well as the New Frontier concert.

“I’m excited just to be a part of this whole thing,” quipped Cuneta.

It is reported that fans from Manila, and the areas around Baguio, Davao, and Cebu will all be in attendance for the upcoming concerts.

“I would want us to be similar to the Grateful Dead, a band whose fans follow them around and build their own communities.”

Grateful Dead is an American rock band that fused rock, jazz, folk, country, gospel, and world music with their brand of psychedelia whose fans, affectionately called “Deadheads”, would follow the band on tour and were fanatical in their devotion. The Grateful Dead disbanded in 1995 when their leader Jerry Garcia passed away. Coincidentally, 1995 was the year Wolfgang released their self-titled debut album to critical acclaim with the album selling well over 40,000 units.
